  3. About Bel Vino

Bel Vino Winery blends tradition, charm, and scenic beauty into a relaxed and welcoming Temecula wine country experience. First established in 1996 and refreshed under new ownership in 2011, Bel Vino has steadily built a reputation as one of the region’s most inviting and enjoyable boutique wineries.

Set on a 40-acre vineyard estate, the winery offers a rustic, old-world feel that reflects its roots. Perched at one of the highest points in Temecula Wine Country, Bel Vino is known for its sweeping 360° views of vineyards, mountains, valleys, and a picturesque setting that adds to the experience.

Bel Vino produces a diverse selection of 30 to 40 wines, including several award-winning reds and gold medal recipients. The Barrel Tasting Room is warm and approachable, giving guests a comfortable place to explore wine in a casual, no-pressure setting.

Bel Vino also has a well-earned reputation for being one of the most entertaining wineries in the valley. Weekends feature live music, smoked BBQ, local craft beer, and our popular wine slushies creating a lively, social atmosphere that keeps guests coming back. Whether you’re here to enjoy a glass with friends, take in the views, or just relax, Bel Vino is a place where great wine and good times naturally come together.

Meet the Team

Mike - Owner/Trustee

Mike was born and raised on a rural Oklahoma farm where his father farmed with work horses until Mike was about 10 years old. At that time Oklahoma was a dry state (alcohol was illegal) and as you can imagine liquor bootlegging was huge in those days. Being of strong Czech heritage, both of Mike’s parents loved good wine so they traveled about twice a year to Wichita Falls, Texas, where alcohol was legal, to buy and bring back a few cases of wine, a forbidden beverage in Oklahoma. At adulthood Mike found the same love of good wine, and fortunately that had become legal in Oklahoma.  At around 25 years of age Mike started his first business, in electronics, and then went on to become a serial entrepreneur with several business successes. Mike’s business ventures eventually took him to Salt Lake City for about 25 years. In 2007 Mike and his adult son started an investment banking (trust company) business in Nevada, which mostly acts as a custodian for IRA and 401k retirement accounts. This successful company now has many thousands of clients. Mike retired in 2010 and moved to Temecula wine country. He was soon offered a small and struggling winery which was right in line with his entrepreneurial nature and love of wine. He bought and renamed the place “Bel Vino Winery”, reconstructed and re-developed the property, and that has now grown into the substantial winery and entertainment center which is represented on this website. Mike still loves great wine, and better still, for him it’s now free and legal!

George Bursick - Master Winemaker

George Bursick is widely regarded as one of California’s most accomplished winemakers. A Sonoma County native, he holds a B.A. in Botany with a focus on Plant Physiology from California State University, and a Master of Science in Enology from the University of California, Davis. Over the course of more than 35 years, Mr. Bursick has crafted exceptional wines as head winemaker for several of California’s leading wineries. Most notably, he spent over two decades at Ferrari-Carano, helping grow the winery from a startup into a major producer of over 500,000 cases annually. His work has earned numerous prestigious awards, too many to list here but a selection can be viewed on his website, along with more details about his remarkable career.

Erick Erno – Assistant Winemaker

With roots in San Diego and family ties to San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles, Erick Erno has called Temecula Valley home since 1995. His winemaking journey began in college, where a part-time job at a local winery sparked a lifelong passion. In 2008, he joined Filsinger Vineyards & Winery, training under industry pioneers Bill “Doc” Filsinger and his son Eric. What began as sweeping floors soon became a hands-on, ground-to-glass education.

Over the last 15+ harvests, Erick has contributed to numerous wineries and brands, learning from some of Temecula’s most respected winemakers.

Erick brings a deep respect for the craft, a hands-on approach, and a dedication to nurturing every grape into a great bottle. With a foundation built on experience, curiosity, and a love for the land, he continues to push boundaries with each vintage.

Always surrounded by family and inspired by six amazing kids, Erick is a vintner to watch.
Salute – Erick Erno

Jessy T. – General Manager

Jessy has been an integral part of Bel Vino Winery since 2017. After relocating from Washington State to Temecula, California, she began her journey with the winery as a weekend golf cart driver. Through hard work, dedication, and a genuine love for the guest experience, Jessy worked her way through eight different roles before becoming the General Manager.

Though she wasn’t much of a wine drinker before moving to wine country, Jessy quickly fell in love with the wine industry, the Temecula Wine Country community, and the winemaking process. She’s especially passionate about building relationships with Bel Vino’s members and guests and finds joy in watching them enjoy all the winery has to offer. Equally rewarding is leading a dedicated team, mentoring staff and watching them grow in both knowledge and confidence.

Outside of the winery, Jessy is a proud mom of two children, a son living in Pennsylvania with his wife, and a daughter who lives locally in Temecula with Jessy’s beloved grandson, Oliver. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her daughter and grandson, hanging out with friends, taking her energetic Yorkie puppy on adventures, and relaxing at the beach.

Jessy is incredibly thankful to be a part of the Bel Vino Winery team and looks forward to many more years of growth, connection, and unforgettable experience.
